#SikhVaisakhi to be Celebrated in Glasgow with City Procession

The Sikh festival of Vaisakhi will be celebrated by a Glasgow City Procession, taking place on Sunday 9th April 2017. The procession is set to bring together thousands of people from diverse and vibrant communities to celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi.

Charandeep Singh, General Secretary, said:

“Celebrating the Festival of Vaisakhi is always a highlight for Scottish Sikhs and has a special place in all our hearts because of it’s ability to bring people together from all different backgrounds and communities.

“The City Procession is set to last 4 hours, starting at the West End of Glasgow and will complete it’s journey in Southside.  We wish everyone a Happy Vaisakhi 2017 and hope that we all imbibe the Sikh values of equality, humanity and justice into all of our lives.”
