Fifty Scottish Sikhs took part in the Great Scottish Run 2013 and fundraised for the education provision at the new Glasgow Gurdwara.

The team fundraised over £4000 and consisted of school pupils, students, professionals and even runners over the age of 60.

First time runner Perdeep Kaur participated in the 10K race and said,

“This was my first 10K and I was nervous but the buzz and excitement from all the runners motivated me to the finish line. I can’t wait for the next one!”

Half marathon runner Gurjit Singh said,

“The Glasgow Gurdwara team is 100% dedicated and their support pushed me to run the half marathon. It was great to see Scotland come together on this day.”
